Project brief

Bombardier, who we had previously worked with on the First Great Western Railway, contacted us to design a new counter-top system for the Virgin Voyager refurbishment.

This boiler was able to use the water from the train’s reservoir tank, rather than be bottle-fed as on a number of other projects.

Solution provided

The boiler was mounted to the bulkhead to enable precious counter-top space to be saved. The system was subsequently installed in both galley and buffet-car.
